SkillForums
Posts, voting, boosting, and comments on each Skillboard.
Every Skillboard has a SkillForum attached to it - a place to ask questions, share progress, and talk with the rest of the community outside of the Progress Tracker itself.
Post types
You can create four kinds of posts:
- Text - a written post
- Image - a post built around an image
- Video - a post linking to a video
- Poll - a question with two or more options for people to vote on
Voting and boosting
Posts can be upvoted or downvoted, and the forum shows the net score. Posts can also be boosted - a way of pushing content you think deserves more visibility. Boosts and votes both require being signed in.
Comments
Every post has its own page with a full comment thread, so discussion doesn't have to stay in the top-level post.
Sorting
You can sort a board's forum by:
- Hot - currently active discussion
- New - most recently posted
- Top - highest-scoring, with a time filter (today, this week, this month, all time)
There's also a search bar for finding a specific post.
Posting
Signed-out visitors can read a public board's forum, but posting, commenting, and voting all require an account - you'll be prompted to sign in if you try.
Questions?
If a post or comment breaks a board's rules, see Roles & Permissions for how to report it. For anything platform-wide, see Contact.
